Frequently Asked Questions
Questions we get asked often
A few answers up front — if your question isn't here, just write to us directly.
01Where are the parts manufactured?
In our own workshop in Münster — from the first shaping to the finished prototype. For series parts and larger-scale mold building, we work with experienced manufacturing partners, for example for mold making and larger tooling.
02What machines and workshop equipment are available?
The workshop is set up for prototyping and small-batch production:
- 3D printers for models, jigs and core molds
- CNC mill for mold and model making
- Vacuum pumps for vacuum infusion and layup
- Curing ovens for post-curing and tempering
- Classic woodworking and model-making machinery
03Does META composites only develop fiber composite parts, or other materials too?
The clear focus is on fiber composites — that is the professional specialization. But through my training as a carpenter, wood and hybrid construction also come into play, as do sheet-metal parts and mechanical designs, when that's the better solution for a given part. The choice of material follows the requirement, not a fixed dogma.
04From what quantity does an inquiry make sense?
Starting at a batch size of one. The focus is deliberately on projects that are too small or too complex for many suppliers — one-off parts and prototypes are explicitly welcome.
05Do you also work with private clients (B2C), or only with businesses?
Both. Most projects are B2B, but ambitious private projects — such as bringing your own product idea to life — are welcome too.
06What does a typical project look like?
In five steps: Design → Engineering → Analysis → Prototype → Small batch. Details can be found in the "Product Development" section on the homepage.
07How quickly will I get a response to my inquiry?
Typically within 2 business days.
